For my friends who are considering homeschooling in Washington State: Here is the website for Washington State Home School Law. Yes, we have a few laws that we need to follow.

Take the time to read through this. You need to know the laws, rights and responsibilities of being a home school parent, just like you need to know the laws, rights and responsibilities of being a public school parent.

Remember this: Homeschool is not public school. Your last few months of schooling for the end of the 2019-2020 School year were crisis schooling. This year can and will be fun! We are all having to think outside the box a bit, and change our expectations.

All of us have great ambitions and intentions for this year and I am so excited for everyone who is making the leap!
