Lessons from the Garden
Psalms 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. ” I enjoy vegetable gardening on a level that is slightly more than a hobby, but not quite to full off the grid living...(Yet) 😉 June is always a funny month for gardening in our area. I call it the weeding and waiting month. Irrigation has been on long enough and the weather is warm enough that weeds can take over a carefully prepared bed in the blink of an eye. Nearly all of the seedlings I started or bought were planted back in May. It will be at least another month before we really start to see a dent in our grocery bill from our harvest. It is a month in which a gardener has to be still and know the process of growth is happening. Yet we cannot be idle in our stillness, unless we wish the weeds to take over.
